It was summer 2004 and a youthful, unsuccessful-with-women man sat down at his desk. A conversation was taking place behind him between a group of girls and he eaves dropped in. “Would you ever go out with him?” one said. “Nah” was the response. “He’s funny, but I only like him as a friend.” That was the story of his life at the time and that was just what he needed. Another friend. Sure, she paid him a compliment, he was funny and a great friend. But being her friend wouldn’t grant him what he desired with that particular girl. It sure hit home. For the rest of the day that’s all he could think about. Sure, he knew he wasn’t the greatest hit with women and he knew most women felt that way about him. But to actually hear it vocally confirmed from his “target” (and by target I mean girl he’d hope would make all the moves if anything were to happen due to his lack of balls) really got his mind into thinking how to solve his particular problem. So when he arrived home he searched on the internet for tips and tricks on how to pick up women. He didn’t expect to find anything valuable; a couple of joke pick up lines maybe? But, to his delight, he came across a website dedicated to providing information on how to get the girl of your dreams and how to transform your entire life for the better. He stayed up all night checking out the material, amazed at his findings. He wasn’t sure if any of it would actually work, but he thought he might as well give it a try – it’s not like he was the king of the playboy mansion as things stood! Soon, he was a member of the seduction community. Talking online to other pick-up artists to try and find out the logic behind all of this material. Not feeling confident enough to try this stuff in the real world due to a fear of rejection, he went online, adding people to his messenger contacts from other cities; that way if this seduction stuff failed to work, at least it wouldn’t give him a bad reputation where he lived. To his delight he was getting different responses from those he usually received from these new girls. They genuinely seemed interested in him. There was a certain excitement in the conversations.

After a few successes out in the real world and a lot of failure, his approach anxiety was soon over. This was a huge step to take for a guy who wouldn’t even dream of speaking to a girl he didn’t know a month and a half earlier. This stuff was changing the life of both him and his fellow seducers within the community. He was getting his hands on as much material as he could, he couldn’t get enough of it, some good stuff, some bad stuff, but through experience he was learning what was good and what was bogus. All the hard work was paying off and the caliber of women he was approaching was improving. As the days went on, he was glowing with confidence and valuing himself much more.
